Statement Of Purpose

Our non-profit organization will raise funds via donations to provide resources for financial assistance to students, research development and innovation, and other operation and infrastructure development costs for the Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology in Nepal. Our goal is to provide financial support to the University staff and its students so that they will excel in educational and research achievements.

 The Development Board for Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology was established by the Government of Nepal in April 2019. With an aspiration to create a world-class university, guided by an independent Board of Trustees, the preparations for the establishment of the research-oriented Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (MBUST) came to fruition upon the promulgation of the MBUST Act on August 3, 2022. The University plans to enroll the first batch of Ph.D. and master’s students in December 2023. Consistent with the aim of the University to directly contribute to the economic and technological development of the country and the well-being of its people, it is engaged in activities directed towards the identification of real-life problems of enterprises of all sizes and individual farmers and their solutions by developing new technology. The University will be guided by the Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Change Mitigation needs. The Government of Nepal has been generously funding the University. Cognizant of the fact that the University would not be able to meet its goals relying exclusively on public funding, our non-profit organization hopes to provide support by initiating fundraising efforts to supplement the public funding.

 Our Mission: To provide resources for financial assistance to students, research development and innovation, and other operation and infrastructure development costs for the Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology in Nepal.

 The university is a product of the MBUST Act (MBUST), and its establishment marks a significant deviation from the acts of existing universities. Due to this historical establishment, MBUST is granted a significantly higher degree of institutional autonomy, developing the university into a world-class educational environment.

The Everest Fund of Science & Technology is organized under the Articles of Incorporation in the state of Washington to provide resources and support to Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology in Nepal and its Board of Directors is guided by the nonprofit’s bylaws.
