Suresh Basnet

Suresh Basnet is inspired by his work with people, coaching them to achieve greater contentment in their lives. Suresh provides daily insights into advisory services, portfolio management, and tax-efficient retirement strategies. Suresh was an analyst at UBS Financial Services in New York City, and a Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch, and Voya Financial.

Suresh obtained his BBA from Pace University in New York City, an MBA from the University of Iowa, and completed the Executive Leadership Program from the University of Oxford in England.

Suresh serves as a governor-appointed Commissioner on the Commission of Asian Pacific Islander Affairs in Iowa, providing policy recommendations to the governor and legislators. He has been active in organizing and mobilizing Asian Americans to promote cultures, public policies, and philanthropy. He is a strong believer that a collaborative effort of private-sector, government, and non-profits can bring changes that are sustainable, sensible, and meaningful to each other and beyond.

In 2015, Suresh organized significant fundraising efforts for the earthquake victims in Nepal. Through these fundraising efforts, Suresh brought awareness to his local community to provide housing, food, and infrastructure needs to the Nepalese communities most in need.

Suresh has a never-ending passion for organizing individuals and organizations on a global scale and is thrilled to support the developments and infrastructure that directly improve the quality of life of the Nepalese people. 

Suresh enjoys traveling, acting in Improv Comedy, meditating, and supporting charitable projects locally and globally.
